Let's Skip the Pleasantries

Freedom of speech is the second best thing the storks had brought us, after the Internet. Today, people are allowed to do just about anything with words on the Internet, so here I am, trying to add to the clutter, while consuming the world around me. (Also, recently I was asked to talk less and write more. So, I'm here because of that too.)

About Me

My parents are as South Indian as they come, so they gave me a name that is a bit of a mouthful, but made the Hindu Gods very happy: Vinothini Subramanian. But, people, whom I know and who know me back, call me Vino.

I graduated from NUS with a finance degree but have since evolved into a communications-cum-digital marketing enthusiast. Outside of work, I enjoy hunting down Murphy, Evernoting, reading, exploring creative content and watching good TV. On the Internet.

Besides the Internet, I love satire, the Pink Floyd, meta-sarcasm, green tea, indie music, news feeds, pasta, and cheese (in ascending order of digestive discomfort). Among humans, I unconditionally love only Matt Damon and Robert Downey. Everyone else has unresolved issues.

About the Blog

The blog's design is in keeping with my love for lots of space (yes, I meant for that to be deep), the colour green and minimalism. It's called "Bean Bag Essays" because everything I feed into this space will come from a place of comfort, where I get to slow down, in an otherwise fast lane, and do what I enjoy best.

(No, I didn't mean warming my ass. Oh, how dare you!)
